Tokyo Sports Achievement Award

This award recognizes the achievements of individuals or groups who have contributed to the spread and development of sports and recreation in Tokyo.
Inheriting the spirit of the historic Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education Awards that began in 42, this award was newly established in 1967 as the Tokyo Metropolitan Sports Achievement Award by the Governor of Tokyo.
