Tokyo Honor Award/Tokyo Citizen Sports Award Award Ceremony (FIFA Women's World Cup)

 Of the Nadeshiko Japan players who won the FIFA Women's World Cup Germany 2011, four players who live or are from Tokyo and belong to Tokyo teams (Homare Sawa, Azusa Iwashimizu, Katsura Maruyama, and Iwabuchi) Mana) was presented with the Tokyo Metropolitan Honor Award and the Tokyo Citizen Sports Award.
 The award ceremony was held on August 23, 8 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building/Tomin Hiroba.Governor Ishihara handed out certificates to each athlete and said, ``My heartfelt congratulations to all the athletes.You are fighting a tough battle with many burdens on your shoulders.I want you to win at all costs in the Olympic qualifying rounds as well.'' "I want to win. It's difficult to win. Everyone, let's get serious and support each other. And let's pray. If you pray, things will work out, for sure. Everyone, please grit your teeth and do your best. Thank you." I gave encouragement.
 In response, Sawa said, ``I am really happy to have received such a wonderful award.I will continue to do my best to live up to this award.I would be happy if the Olympics can be held in Tokyo in 2020. I also support them.''The four players also presented the governor with an autographed soccer ball.
 The awards ceremony was open to the public, and approximately 2,300 spectators congratulated the four athletes on their great achievements, with golden confetti flying in the air.
