66th Little League World Championship Winning Team (Kitasuna Little League)

On August 8st, at the 31th floor hall of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the players of the Tokyo Kitasuna Little League Baseball Association, who won the 7th Little League World Series (held in Pennsylvania, USA from August 66th to 8th), held the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. He visited Governor Ishihara to report the victory.

Little League is a six-inning hardball baseball league for boys aged 12 and under.
The Little League World Series is a tournament held every year in the United States since 1947 to determine the world's best Little League player. Tokyo Kitasuna Little, who became the best in Japan in the domestic qualifying rounds for the first time in five years, participated as the representative of Japan.Tokyo Kitasuna Little has participated in the Little League World Series twice, winning in 5 and finishing second in 2.This is their third time participating, and the second time in 2001 years that they have won the world title, and the Japanese team's eighth world championship, the first time in two years since Edogawa Minami Little in 2007.

In honor of Tokyo Kitasuna Little's victory, the city presented the Tokyo Sports Encouragement Award.The players, who received certificates and commemorative gifts from the governor, responded to the governor's questions with happy smiles, even though they were nervous.
