1 people gathered at Chichibu Palace to cheer on Japan's first match of the Rugby World Cup, which was held in France. The Japanese national team scored 6 tries and won the match 42-12.
Every time a Japanese national team player played an active role, the venue erupted!
The day was also filled with a variety of events, including stage events, trial sessions, and booth exhibits.

In preparation for the World Athletics and Deaflympics to be held in Tokyo in 2025, Asuka Terada, a World Athletics 100M hurdles runner, and Kaio Okada, a Deaflympics 800M/1500M athlete, took to the stage. We asked Terada and Okada about their enthusiasm for the World Athletics Championships and the Deaflympics, which will be held in Tokyo in 2025, and Okada said, ``Today, I would like everyone to learn the sign language for the Deaflympics.'' We had a great time practicing sign language with everyone in the venue.

We welcomed former Japan national team members Ayumu Goromaru and Kensuke Hatakeyama as guests, and we held a talk show with the students of the Tokyo Metropolitan Aoyama High School Rugby Club.
The students asked questions about what is important when competing against higher-ranked opponents and what they keep in mind to keep the team together.
We held trial sessions in collaboration with professional sports teams.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has entered into a business collaboration agreement with Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath, Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo, Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo, and the Tokyo Rugby Football Association in order to foster the enjoyment of sports and opportunities to start playing sports.
