The Deaflympics is the "Olympics for the deaf and hard of hearing" held every four years by the International Committee for Sports for the Deaf (ICSD).
"Deaf" means "deaf" in English, and deaf athletes from all over the world gather to compete at the highest level.
A major feature of this event is that in addition to international sign language, visual information is provided using start lamps, flags, etc.
This allows all athletes to focus on competing on a level playing field.
In addition to the thrill of the competition, the Deaflympics are also attractive because they allow participants to interact with each other across different countries and cultures.
