Introducing the performing groups

  • Kishi☆Lab (9:35-10:00)

We are a mixed-gender saxophone team of four people, mostly in their 50s. When we first formed, we aimed to play authentic jazz, but our performances of nostalgic tunes at nursing homes have been so well-received that we now focus mainly on that. We continue to play famous Showa era songs, little by little. We hope that all runners will feel a sense of nostalgia.

  • Kanahana (10:03-10:28)

A group of professional classical singers who sing in kimonos. They performed eight times in a year after being formed. They also sang the cheer song at the previous Tokyo Marathon in 1. They continue to work actively with the goal of spreading Japan's identity and good fortune throughout Japan and even the world. Aiming to be a cheer squad for the world! Always cheerful, kind and happy! A group of professional classical singers who perform in kimonos. Last year, they said, "We don't just want to cheer on our runner friends over the phone, we want to go and cheer on everyone in person with our songs!" We were very happy to see everyone's smiles, and we are excited to participate again this year!

  • Ebisu Yuruyuru♪ Musical Band (10:30-10:55)

We met in a choir group in Ebisu and formed an instrumental group in 2013. We play a unique harmony using various instruments, including the keyboard harmonica we used in elementary school. Our sound is laid back, but our "looseness" is what we're serious about! I applied because I wanted to support the runners who have come from all over the world with the power of music. Our sound is laid back, but we'll also be playing songs used at sports days, so I hope they'll use that as power to finish the race!

We will deliver classic songs (all English lyrics) that are familiar both in Japan and overseas, with original arrangements by Director Mochi Matsumura. We will cheer up the runners with our powerful singing voices and beautiful harmonies and support them with music!

We love dancing and enjoy dancing, thinking together about everything from choosing songs and choreography to costumes. We have participated in recitals in Chuo Ward, but we are also challenging ourselves to dance on a new stage. We knew we would be performing at the Tokyo Marathon cheering booth, but after seeing the cheering booth last year, we thought it would be great to help out at a lively, big event, so we applied for the first time this year.

We have a wide range of members, from first graders to retired working adults, and we have been invited to local festivals and nursing homes to deliver the powerful sound of Japanese drums to everyone. We are practicing hard every day in preparation for our 1th anniversary, and we are also working hard to develop young people so that they can learn about the beauty of Japanese traditional instruments such as Japanese drums. With the Tokyo Marathon as our goal, the children's awareness has changed and they are putting more effort into their practice. We want to deliver the energetic voice of Soran Bushi to the runners from overseas, and we hope that the sound of the Japanese drums that resonates through their bodies will cheer them on.

  • Katsushika Eisa Wakanachi (14:35-15:00)

After a seminar in Katsushika Ward in 2004, members who love Eisa gathered together and started a club. We participate in local festivals such as the Horikiri Katsushika Iris Festival. We are very proud to have been able to perform at the Tokyo Marathon from the start of the first one, and all of our members will perform a lively dance to express the joy of Eisa with their whole bodies. I'm sure that all the runners will run through the streets of Tokyo, giving it their all, using all the practice they have accumulated up to this day. We will perform to the best of our ability so that the sound of our Eisa drums will be a wonderful encouragement. We are grateful to be able to perform together with everyone who is heading towards the finish line.

  • YGS Cheer Team (15:00-15:25)

We are the YGS Cheer Team, active within the YGS Gymnastics School! The cheer team itself has been around for a while, but as the number of members has increased recently, we are also taking on the challenge of performing at events. People who work hard are cool! The children have begun to feel a desire to support such people. Although we still have a short history of performing on stage, we applied this time because we wanted to convey our feelings to the audience, not just to have them watch our performance, but to feel various things from the experience.

Introducing the performing groups

  • Blister Saitama (11:10-11:35)

We are a gospel circle called "Blister Saitama" that operates in Saitama City. We are a circle of energetic women who work, do housework, and raise children. We perform live every day to invigorate the local area with the power of music. Just as there are goals and ways to enjoy a marathon that are appropriate for each age, there are also ways to enjoy songs that are appropriate for each age. With this commonality in mind, we applied to share our overflowing energy with the runners.

  • All Japan Cheering Association (11:40-12:10)

Every weekday morning, we hold an activity called "Morning Cheer" where we "unofficially" cheer on people on their way to work in front of stations in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, Hokkaido, and other areas. This year marks our 15th anniversary and we have exceeded 1500 "Morning Cheer" events. During the COVID-XNUMX pandemic, we have received attention from overseas media such as the New York Times, and last year we even sent cheering to Saudi Arabia. We will cheer on all the runners! In addition to the "MC" who is a former station announcer, we also rush to marathons all over the country, such as Hokkaido and Naha! We don't just perform cheering performances, but our attitude of genuinely cheering is very well received by the runners, and we liven up the event with a festive atmosphere, including pop-up letters and dancing!

  • Nihon University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Hula Circle Hōkūleʻa (12:15-12:40)

Aloha everyone! We are Hōkūleʻa, a hula circle from Nihon University College of Literature and Science! We, Hōkūleʻa, were founded in August last year with the desire to have as many people as possible know and dance hula, a traditional Hawaiian culture! We dance with all our hearts so that you can feel Hawaii, even if just a little! We are a circle that was founded in August this year. We work every day with the goal of passing on traditional culture in a fun way, regardless of year, faculty, department, or experience. We have only recently been founded, so we have little experience performing, but if we are given the opportunity to participate, we will do our best to perform. Thank you for your support.

  • LES★VEDETTES (12:45-13:10)

We are a team formed by the Kanda University of International Studies cheerleading club, LES★VEDETTES, and its alumni members. We reunited with the current students for the school festival. Although we don't have much experience performing in front of a large audience, we hope to liven up the venue with a fun performance full of energy and smiles! As cheerleaders, we will work with the audience and other performers to brighten up the entire venue so that we can cheer on all the runners who are aiming to complete the marathon! In addition, as some of the runners are foreigners, we will take advantage of the university's unique characteristics and cheer them on in multiple languages!

  • FU (Kaede Summer) CREW (13:15-13:40)

This is a cheer performance team led by FU (Kaede Natsu), a current professional league cheerleader. Last year, our wish came true and we exhibited for the first time, but we can't forget the warm sight of the runners waving happily... We definitely wanted to participate for the second year, so we worked backwards for a year to build up our skills as a team!

  • Mukojima Yujin Taiko (13:45-14:10)

We are based in Mukojima, Sumida Ward. We practice daily, focusing on the basics of Japanese drums. We have performed at various events, but the Tokyo Marathon is especially inspiring, as we get to cheer on the runners from up close. This year, we hope to put our souls into our performance and cheer on the runners.

  • Dance Orchestra (14:20-14:45)

We are a dance group that brings together various dance genres. We are active in belly dancing, salsa, street dancing, etc. This time, we would like to share a space where we can support each other with the marathon runners. Thank you for your support.

  • Tsugaru Shamisen "The Tiger's Gate" (Toranomon) (14:50-15:15)

Hello, we are "The Tiger's Gate" Tsugaru Shamisen. We, "The Tiger's Gate", were formed by members who love Tsugaru Shamisen and folk songs. This time, we will deliver the charm of Tsugaru, especially the powerful sound of Tsugaru Shamisen, melancholy melody rhythm, and comfortable songs. We are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to be at the Tokyo Marathon venue, and will play together with our hearts for a short time. Please enjoy. Tsugaru Shamisen is a music that we can be proud of as a part of Japanese culture. We applied for this event because we thought that by participating in the event, we can lead to the inheritance and development of Tsugaru Shamisen, that this sound will cheer up the runners, and that many people both in Japan and overseas will know Tsugaru Shamisen, and that we can appeal to the world about the goodness of Japanese culture.

  • BeThe1 Dance Community (15:20-15:45)

Hello! We are Dance Community, based in Shinagawa Ward, and started in 2023! We aim to create a space where everyone can experience dance, making the most of each individual's individuality, working hard through dance, and having fun with friends! We have fun lessons with everyone, regardless of age! Thank you for your support! We want to deliver energetic energy through dance! It would be great if we could deliver the energy of dancing hard while having fun to the Tokyo Marathon runners, staff, audience, and the streets of Tokyo! That's why I applied. We are still a small group, but we want to deliver the best performance we can!

With the philosophy of "everyone shining brightly," we value a positive attitude in everything we do and the joy of expressing ourselves. We applied to participate in the Tokyo Marathon cheering event because we felt it would be an opportunity for the children to get up close and personal with the runners and feel that they can cheer on the runners through their performance.

  • TANASHI Soran Dance Party (14:20-14:50)

We have been together for 25 years, with the motto "Let's dance with style, energy and fun! Let's spread energy!" to enliven local festivals. We are grateful for the wonderful people and wonderful encounters we have had through events, and we participate in society through dance, "cherishing the present..." in a way that is true to ourselves, to show how wonderful our friends are. Our TANASHI Soran Club team name was chosen in the hope that Tanashi City would be preserved after its merger with Hoya City. XNUMX years since our founding, our love for Tokyo is reflected in our Yosakoi dance. We hope that our performances will help the marathon runners, and we will support them as much as we can.

  • Miyazawa Taiko at Suwa Shrine (14:55-15:25)

With the full support of Suwa Shrine in Miyazawa-cho, Akishima City, the group was established in 4 with the aim of making a donation to the shrine and creating traditional culture in Miyazawa-cho. After that, they learned the Ito style of drumming from the Japanese drum group Kodai-jinja in Ome City, Tokyo, and are currently practicing to perfect Miyazawa Taiko's unique style and style. They are currently part of the Akishima Tourism and Urban Development Association, and are using Japanese drums to promote the city both inside and outside, in order to revitalize the area and make Akishima a "leaping city." They applied because they wanted to convey strength and energy to the runners through drumming. With drumming, they would like to express their feelings of welcoming the runners back, praising their efforts and saying "Welcome back," as they fought hard until the very end. They hope to make use of the commonality between the theme and drumming to help make this a joyous and enthusiastic event.

  • Tokyo Capella (15:30-16:00)

We are Tokyo Capella, a star of hope. We have been together for 25 years. We are a team that continues to dance YOSAKOI with energy, smiles, dreams and hopes in our hearts while incorporating a health-conscious approach. We also organize "Disaster Recovery Support Events" with YOSAKOI, which energizes people and the city. At each event, we create a chain reaction of energy with the spectators we meet at the venue. Tokyo Capella's YOSAKOI is a dance that energizes people and the city. We want to cheer on the runners together with the spectators we meet at the cheering venue. We are entering the race with a burning desire to experience "The Day Tokyo Becomes One" for the first time in a long time.

Introducing the performing groups

  • STREET JAM2025 (11:20-11:50)

STREETJAM was founded in 1997 as a dance circle, with the desire to create an environment where people with disabilities could enjoy sports, even if only little by little, as they felt that there were few places for them to do so. Now that we are in our 27th year of activity, we bring together people with disabilities, from children to adults, their families, and volunteers to overcome lack of exercise through dance and make friends. We also do activities that allow people to feel a sense of accomplishment with their friends through performances. I feel very nostalgic about the disappointment when the performance was canceled in 2020, and the joy of receiving towels. I have continued practicing, hoping to perform again someday. I would like to support the runners with the energy of joy from performing.

  • Tokyo Fire Department Band (12:20-12:50)

The Tokyo Fire Department Band was established in July 24 as Japan's first fire department band. As a "bridge between Tokyo residents and firefighting," the band performs at various local events, including events held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Fire Department, in order to raise awareness of fire and disaster prevention. They plan to play mainly glamorous songs so that all runners who take part in the marathon can have a glorious finish.

  • Sumida Ward Taiko Federation Team A/Team B (13:30-14:10)

For over 30 years since its founding, the federation has participated in events and festivals held by Sumida Ward and the Tourism Association. It has participated in the Tokyo Marathon Festival since its inception. The Japanese drums performed by the Sumida Ward Taiko Federation are a group of drums called "Sumida no Taiko." They incorporate the names of places and scenery in Sumida Ward and create a light, heartwarming sound. Local songs such as "Sumida Ondo" are also enjoyable to listen to.

  • GOSPEL SQUARE (15:20-15:50)

A gospel studio in Shibuya that operates under the philosophy "Sing in Unity. Live in Peace." It provides a "Gospel Plaza" where anyone who wants to sing gospel can come and sing, regardless of age, musical experience, religion, etc., and uses a portion of the membership fees to support international cooperation activities. We participated in the Tokyo Marathon support event in March of this year, and the runners were delighted to hear our voices, which allowed us to feel the power of song. We hope to support the runners with the power of song again this year!
