Sports Fun Park

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold the "Sports FUN PARK - A Festival of Sports and Sustainable Living" in the central plaza of Komazawa Olympic Park, which will be the venue for the games, where people can interact with athletes and try out deaf and parasports.
Many athletes will be making guest appearances, including Deaflympics competitor Masaki Sato, and Paris 2024 Paralympic gold medalists Keiichi Kimura and Manami Tanaka. There will also be a support booth for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, which will be held at an adjacent venue. Furthermore, the "Sports Festa 2025 in Komazawa Olympic Park," where you can try out a variety of sports, and the "TOKYO Ethical Marche," where you can experience ethical consumption, will also be held at the same venue on the same day. Masaki Sato (Deaf Judo)
Masaki Sato
He was diagnosed with a bilateral hearing impairment at the age of three. He began judo at the age of five and won a gold medal in the 3kg class at the 5nd World Deaf Judo Championships in 2024. He aims to win a gold medal at the Tokyo 2 Deaflympics.
Manami Tanaka (wheelchair tennis)
Player: Manami Tanaka
She suffered a spinal cord injury in an accident during high school and is now wheelchair-bound. She started wheelchair tennis immediately after being released from hospital, and won Japan's first gold medal in women's doubles at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. She currently competes in many international tournaments, including the four major tournaments.

He started playing blind football after being invited to participate in a blind football trial event held in April 2022. He was selected to represent Japan in the same year. His future goal is to contribute to the team's victory in international tournaments.

Keiichi Kimura (Para Swimming)
Keiichi Kimura
At the age of two, he lost his eyesight due to a congenital disease. Encouraged by his mother, he began swimming in the fourth grade of elementary school and competed in five consecutive Paralympics. At the Paris 2 Paralympics, he won gold medals in the 4m freestyle and 5m butterfly, achieving a double victory.

Yuki Tanae
Currently a second-year university student, he is passionate about skiing. He won a silver medal at the 2 Winter Deaflympics and is working hard every day to qualify for the 2024 Games in Austria and win a gold medal there.

While studying at the University of Tsukuba Graduate School, he attended a Blind Football® seminar, which prompted him to take up the sport seriously. In the same year, he was selected for the Japanese national team, and he led the Japanese blind football world for around 2024 years until 22.

Encouraged by his club advisor at the time, he began throwing events in junior high school. He then focused on the discus, placing fourth in the men's discus at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. He won a silver medal in the men's discus at the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships. He is currently aiming to win a gold medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

We will hear from athletes about the appeal of the Deaflympics, deaf sports, and parasports, as well as what inspired them to start competing. In addition to powerful demonstrations, we will also hear valuable talks from athletes, including lectures on training methods.

<Sports Experience Corner>

Guest athlete Manami Tanaka will be appearing in the wheelchair tennis experience corner, while Tomonari Kuroda and Haruka Wakasugi will be appearing in the blind football experience corner. There will also be a viewing experience of "Para Sports VR (360°) Video," which allows visitors to easily experience the thrill of para sports (in cooperation with Recruit Co., Ltd. and ParaRing, a project to support people with disabilities).
