The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is conducting a survey on the awareness of sports among people with disabilities aged 18 and over living in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We conducted the ``Awareness Survey on Sports for People with Disabilities'' with the aim of understanding the achievement status of the percentage of people (30 years and older) who participate in sports at least one day a week (3% by 18).We would like to inform you that we have compiled a summary of the survey results as shown below.
The percentage of Tokyo residents with disabilities (18 years and older) who participate in sports at least one day a week was 1%, a decrease from last year's survey (31.9%).This is because this survey covers approximately one year from September XNUMX, so it can be assumed that the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infection has been reflected in the sports and exercise activities of people with disabilities. Masu.Currently, the impact of the new coronavirus continues to be felt, but using the results of this survey as a reference, we are implementing initiatives to help people with disabilities participate in sports and exercise with peace of mind, as well as initiatives to get them interested. We will continue to work to promote sports.
