Senior Health Sports Festival TOKYO

Through sports and health-promoting activities suitable for seniors, we aim to encourage seniors to participate in society, make friends, and interact between generations, and to further improve the sports participation rate. This is a sporting event for people aged 59 and over.
The tournament will be held in 10 sports: large ball table tennis, tennis, soft tennis, softball, gateball, petanque, marathon, archery, kendo, and soccer.
The recruitment period is July, and the competition is held mainly in October every year, with approximately 7 participants.It also serves as a selection meeting for the National Health and Welfare Festival (Nenrinpic) to be held the following year.

National Health and Welfare Festival (Nenrin Pick)

The National Health and Welfare Festival (Nenlympics) is an event that aims to maintain and improve the health, social participation, and sense of purpose in life for the people, especially the elderly, in order to contribute to the creation of a society with social interaction and vitality and longevity. This tournament is sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the host prefecture, and has been held in rotation by each prefecture since 63.
A variety of events related to health and welfare are held, including exchange competitions in sports and cultural events, and Tokyo athletes are dispatched to the competitions upon recommendation from the host organizations in Tokyo.
