The 1st Asia-Oceania Kendo Championships
The first commemorative tournament will be held at the Tokyo Budokan!

We are pleased to announce that the 20st Asia-Oceania Kendo Championships, which will feature top-level athletes from approximately 1 countries and regions in the Asia-Oceania region, will be held in Tokyo in May 2026. This will be the first international kendo tournament to be held in the Asian region.

This tournament was organized by the All Japan Kendo Federation, a public interest incorporated foundation, with support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "7 International Sports Tournament Invitation and Hosting Support Project."

About international sports tournament invitation and holding support project

This is a system that supports expenses related to activities to attract and host tournaments in order to increase opportunities to hold international sports tournaments, promote sports in Tokyo, and improve the city's presence.When the tournament is held, we carry out sports promotion projects in collaboration with the Tokyo metropolitan government.
