4 Disaster Area Exchange Project through Sports (Miyagi Prefecture)
Women's Soccer CAMP in MIYAGI was held!

Elementary school girls' soccer teams from Tokyo, Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures played an exchange match at the multipurpose sports field in Rifu Town, Miyagi Prefecture.The next day, we held practical training on disaster prevention education at KIBOTCHA, a disaster prevention experience accommodation facility that was renovated from the former Nobiru Elementary School, which was damaged by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Please note that we are taking thorough measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection when implementing our business.

Exchange match between 4 prefectures

A total of six teams participated: two teams from Tokyo and Miyagi prefectures, and one team each from Iwate and Fukushima prefectures.It was a fast and heated game, with no signs of fatigue from the long journey!

After the ice-breaker at the beginning, the lesson progressed at a good pace, with individual lessons that also served as brain training, and lessons with multiple people.The players seemed to enjoy the clinic, chatting with each other without any division from the team.At the end of the clinic, Mr. Imai gave a lecture about his time as a player, and the players listened intently.

Exchange match between mixed teams from 4 prefectures

Players who don't usually play together compete as teammates.At first, it seemed like they had some trouble coordinating with each other, but gradually they were able to communicate with each other, and some of the players said things like, ``It was great to be able to make friends with players from different teams.''

Disaster prevention learning and earthquake disaster inheritance (disaster prevention experience accommodation facility “KIBOTCHA”)

On the second day, the students participated in disaster prevention learning based on the lessons learned from the earthquake and a storyteller telling the story of the disaster.During rope work, which is a part of disaster prevention learning, participants learned how to tie ropes while following each other.In the earthquake disaster story, we listened intently to the storytellers and learned many things, such as the horror of tsunamis and the importance of life.The children who participated said things like, ``I feel like I can practice rope tying in everyday life,'' and ``I'm glad I was able to learn about the difficulty and horror of earthquake disasters.''
