To pass on the historical value and social significance of the Tokyo 2020 Games to future generations, a space has been opened inside the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building where visitors can see exhibits of assets actually used in the opening ceremony and other events, as well as experience the games using digital technology. Please enjoy this valuable archive that is not usually on public display.

The tournament mascots, Miraitowa and Someity, will welcome you! Try holding the Olympic torch and lighting the cauldron! Experience the weight of the competition equipment by touching it!
In addition, highlight videos from the Tokyo 2020 Games, the World Athletics Championships, and the Deaflympics will be shown on large screens at the venue, recreating the excitement of the events.
Experience a realistic recreation of the sport climbing wall from the Tokyo 2020 Games. Within the scale of the competition space, you can feel the power of the athletes' height and speed up close. We invite you on a journey retracing the steps of the Tokyo 2020 Games. Enjoy the immersive experience.
*XR refers to technologies that use VR, AR, and MR to create an immersive experience that makes you feel as if you are actually there, and to create new experiences where reality and the digital world overlap.
Take part in the special experience of lighting the Olympic flame in the cauldron using an XR torch.
Wearing VR goggles, you can experience what it's like to actually run through the streets of Edo in this unique Tokyo-style content that fuses "sports x culture x digital"! Your view moves in sync with your hand movements, allowing you to enjoy famous landmarks like Asakusa and Nihonbashi in a fully immersive 360-degree experience!

You can experience the same size and weight as the medals worn by the Tokyo 2020 Games medalists. We also have exhibits showcasing the legacy of the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships and the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics.

We are exhibiting the Olympic torch, victory bouquet, and competition equipment (baseball).
Usage hours: Weekdays 9:00-17:00
Closed on: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and during the New Year period.
We are exhibiting valuable athletic equipment, including signed items from medalists.
Stamps and stamp sheets featuring Miraitowa and Someity will be placed at three exhibition locations within the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. During the spring break period (March 27th to April 5th), participants (under 18 years old) who collect all the stamps will receive a commemorative gift. *Stamp location ④ is not included in the stamp rally.
