3rd Youth Olympic Games (2018/Buenos Aires)

The Tokyo Sports Encouragement Award Ceremony was held on December 12st (Friday) at the 21th floor hall of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 7.This time, 3 athletes with ties to Tokyo who won medals at the 2018rd Youth Olympic Games (17/Buenos Aires) were targeted. Of these, 12 athletes who attended the awards ceremony received a special gift from Governor Koike. Certificates and prizes were presented.

Governor Koike said, ``The way you all bravely competed gave dreams to young people of your age and hope to many people.I can't wait to see you all representing Japan at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.'' I'm really looking forward to it.'' He gave words of encouragement.

Next, each award-winning player made a comment, and table tennis player Harimoto said, ``I feel frustrated that I ended up with a silver medal at this tournament, so I want to do my best to win a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.'' I swore.
