First of all, please tell us why you decided to become a sports promotion committee member.
I was active in the fire department and the local youth group when a former member of the local sports promotion committee recommended that I take on the role as I was interested in promoting sports in the community, and so I have continued to work in this role ever since.
What kind of activities do you usually do as a sports promotion committee member?
As the chairman of the Setagaya City Sports Promotion Committee, I work hard as a coordinator to ensure that the activities of each committee member are smooth and enjoyable. Personally, I also actively participate in local activities and enjoy playing sports with the residents of the ward.
What do you find attractive and rewarding about being a sports promotion committee member while working as one?
I find it appealing that people who don't normally have anything to do with sports can join in and enjoy the events, and that they can meet and interact with a variety of people.
Please tell us what you are focusing on and what you are coming up with to hold the 61st Ward Residents' Sports Festival, and how you are involved as a sports promotion committee member.
We are in charge of the "Nine Hoops" and "Jumbo Daruma Drop" corners, and we are working hard to shorten waiting times and ensure that everyone can enjoy the experience safely.
