The Asia Triathlon Cup and Para Cup (2024/Tokyo Sea Forest) will bring together the world's top athletes, including Olympians and Paralympians. On the day, there will be a variety of events for the whole family to enjoy, including kids' programs where you can interact with athletes, a paratriathlon experience, and an aquathlon experience in a children's pool. Be sure to come to the venue and cheer on the triathletes as they compete!

1 Tournament overview

Dates: From Sunday, September 6nd, 2024 to Monday, September 9rd, 22 (National Holiday)
September 9nd (Age): A race for general enthusiasts to enjoy triathlon
September 9rd (Elite): A race for top athletes aiming for the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Venue: Sea Forest Waterway and surrounding roads (3-6-44 Sea Forest, Koto-ku, Tokyo)
* A free shuttle bus runs from Kokusai Tenjijo Station. Please check the tournament website for details.

2. About the Kids Program

This project will be implemented as a support event for the ``International Sports Tournament Attraction and Hosting Support Project'' as part of giving back to the citizens of Tokyo.

This will surely become a precious memory for your children. Please apply!

(1) Outline

● Kids Program (High Touch Kids, Aid Kids, Bouquet Kids) Total 105 people

Date: Monday, September 6, 2024 (National Holiday)

Target: Elementary school students living or attending school in Tokyo (accompanied by a guardian)

Content: "High-five Kids" High-five the runners before the start and cheer them on. (60 people)
Aid Kids: We will provide water to runners who have completed the race and interact with them. (30 people)
Bouquet Kids: We will present players with bouquets and souvenirs at the awards ceremony. (15 people)

*On the day, we will also provide information on the characteristics of the competition and highlights. Participants will be asked to fill out a survey conducted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

  • If there are a large number of applicants, the winner will be determined by lottery.

3 Precautions

  • On the day of the event, traffic restrictions will be in place on roads around Sea Forest Waterway (8:20am - 15:00pm). During these restrictions, vehicles other than free shuttle buses will not be able to enter or leave the venue, so please be aware of this if you are driving a passenger car.

    *Please note that you cannot come to the venue by bicycle or on foot.
  • If you would like to use the children's pool, please remember to bring a change of clothes.
  • On the day of the event, it is expected that the event will take place under scorching hot or rainy weather, so please dress appropriately according to the weather forecast and bring the following items with you: a sweat towel, sunscreen, a hat, drinks, salt tablets, a raincoat, a poncho, etc.
    *Please take special care to prevent heatstroke. Umbrellas are not permitted during kids' programs.
  • If the event is cancelled due to unavoidable reasons such as bad weather, we will announce it on the event website.
  • In the event of an injury or accident during the event, the organizer will only provide first aid. The organizer has insurance (Triathlon competition insurance:https://www.jtu.or.jp/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/eventinsurance.pdf) and please join if necessary.
  • Please note that for publicity activities regarding this tournament, official photographers from the organizers and filming for PR purposes will be carried out (web articles/footage for other video media/photos for the web, SNS and print materials, etc.).
