As a legacy of hosting the "WBSC Women's U-15 Softball World Cup 2023" last year,
- Promoting and popularizing softball and improving the competitive ability of junior athletes
・Creating opportunities for international exchange
・Promoting sports to children in general
We implemented the "Women's Softball International Exchange Program" with the following objectives:
The U-2028 All-California team, ranked number one in the WBSC (World Baseball Softball Confederation) women's softball rankings and the host city of the Los Angeles 18 Olympic Games, visited Japan and played a softball friendly match against the Tokyo U-18 All-California team.

〇Softball friendly match
*Due to rain, the match was cancelled on Saturday, October 10th, and the BASEBALL5 experience was held in the indoor gymnasium.

Cultural exchange experience (making badges using washi paper)
On Saturday, October 10th, a softball friendly match was scheduled to take place at Ipponsugi Park Baseball Stadium in Tama City in conjunction with the "JD.League Round 5 Tama Round," but it was canceled due to rain. (The Tokyo Residents' Participation Event (ASOBALL/BASEBALL11 Experience), which was scheduled to be held at the same time, was also canceled.)
In the morning, we practiced at the indoor gymnasium of Tokyo Women's College of Physical Education."BASEBALL5 Experience" The Tokyo team and the Southern California team jointly conducted the program. In the evening,"Cultural Exchange Experience"To deepen exchanges,"dinner"During this time, they deepened their friendship across cities.
We had the opportunity to try out BASEBALL3, which has been recognised as the "third sport after baseball and softball."
Four teams were formed from both cities and a mini tournament was held. The players used gestures and gestures to communicate and cooperate with each other without being intimidated by the language barrier. Former Japan national baseball team member Ken Miyanohara and former Japan national softball team member Nozomi Nagasaki also came to the event and made the competitive experience even more exciting.


In the afternoon, the players moved to the accommodation and made badges out of washi paper. They also used softball designs, and once they were done, the players exchanged the badges they had made with each other, allowing them to get to know each other better.

After the friendly match, Rie Sato, the softball team coach at Tokyo Women's College of Physical Education, where the match was held and a gold medalist in women's softball at the Beijing Olympics, gave technical guidance to the players.
