We are very pleased that Tokyo has been chosen as the venue for the 2025 Deaflympics. This is the first time that the event will be held in Tokyo and Japan throughout the summer and winter seasons. The 2025 Games will be a memorable event, marking the 100th anniversary of the Deaflympics.

The Deaflympics is a comprehensive international competition for deaf athletes. The sight of athletes in action will deepen understanding of deaf people and deaf culture, and will encourage greater interaction between people. In addition, by holding the Deaflympics, we can further promote parasports and create opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy sports. The use of digital technology will undoubtedly lead to the creation of a society where everyone can communicate smoothly.

By hosting the 2025 Deaflympics, Tokyo, which has hosted the Summer Olympics and Paralympics twice, will send an even stronger message to the world about the importance of diversity. We will work together with everyone involved to make the event a success, so that it will greatly contribute to the realization of a cohesive society.

Let's all support the excitement of the 2025 tournament.
