“2017 World Junior Weightlifting Championships” held!

The 2017 World Junior Weightlifting Championships will be held at the Ota City General Gymnasium as follows.This tournament will determine the 2017 world junior champions in the 16 weight classes for men and women, and is also a tournament that attracts attention from around the world as it is positioned as a training ground for athletes in preparation for the 32nd Olympic Games.

We invite all Tokyo residents to watch this tournament and take a backyard tour.

We invite you to watch the competition.
(1) Date and time:June 6th (Sat) and 17th (Sun) 18:10-00:21 (scheduled)
June 6rd (Friday) 23:10-00:17 (scheduled)
(2) Target:Pairs of elementary school students or older who live, work, or attend school in Tokyo.
<For elementary school students, please apply in pairs with an accompanying guardian.>
(3) Capacity:100 people in 200 groups each day (Lottery will be held if there are many applications)
(4) Application:On the return postcard, include the name of the event, addresses of the two people, names (furigana), age, phone number,"1 I would like to be invited to watch a game"Please fill out the form and send it to the address below.
2 Backyard Tour
Behind-the-scenes views of the weightlifting competition venue that you can never see, such as the weigh-in room where weights are measured and the warm-up area where athletes practice before competing.Olympianwill guide you.
(1) Date and time:June 6th (Sat) and 17th (Sun) 18:8-30:9 (scheduled)
(2) Target: Elementary school and junior high school students who live or attend school in Tokyo
*Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian (up to one guardian per participant)
*Parents must wait at a designated location within the venue during the tour.
*Watching tickets are not included.
(3) Capacity:25 people each day (Lottery will be held if there are many applications)
