I started karate in the first grade of elementary school and have been practicing it for five years now. I especially love kumite. I participated in more than 1 tournaments a year and competed against many national tournament competitors. Last year, I was selected as a Yukari Junior Para Athlete for the first time, and with that support, I was able to train a lot and win against national tournament competitors. There are still many strong athletes, so in 5, I would like to actively participate in training sessions hosted by other dojos to gain more practical experience and work hard to win many awards.
This year will also see the 25th Tokyo Deaflympics, in which some of my seniors will be competing. I would like to learn more about how the Deaflympics work and do my best to compete in the Deaflympics in the future, with the belief that "persistence pays off."
